Dreams du Jour by Stampin' Up!

I'm playing along with the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge (Mojo147) again this week and the Dreams du Jour stamp set instantly came to mind. At the last second I decided to add a little sparkle with some Dazzling Diamonds glitter, but I'm still on the fence trying to decide if plain was better.  What do you think?

  • The Square Lattice embossing folder provides classic texture and the perfect backdrop.
  • Place images or text in precisely the right spot with a Stamp-a-ma-jig. I think it's middle name is "lifesaver". ;-)
  • Embossing images provides a nifty little barrier for watercoloring and it looks great too!
  • Keep embossing powder where it should be with a swipe of the Embossing Buddy before stamping. It reduces pesky static that attracts stray powder.

Have you seen the new Color Coach?  It's so ... awesome! The Color Coach (121620) has been totally redesigned as a swatch book containing 55 double-sided cards with a removable metal post fastener. I'll be swapping mine out for a ring, so it can "hang out" near my work space.  Each card measures 2-3/4" x 4-1/2", with a solid color on one side and professionally designed color combos on the other side. There are also color theory cards and even blank cards to record your own favorite color combinations. Whether you're color challenged or not, this thing ROCKS!

The color combination on my card today came from the new Color Coach and I thought it was a terrific combo. I knew I wanted to use the new Pear Pizzazz, so I consulted the color swatch for a quick check and there it was: Pear Pizzazz, Rich Razzleberry and Tempting Turquoise. Love it!  I ended up using Pear Pizzazz as more of an accent color, so I'm planning to try this combo again soon. Have you discovered a new color combo you love?  Leave me a comment and tell me what it is.
