I love the Deck The Halls Designer Series Paper! One of the designs has the words to "O Christmas Tree" and I thought it would be fun to create a tree using that paper. I had also been toying with the idea of using a wreath in place of the letter "o" in the word "joy" on the Christmas Collage stamp. Once those two ideas merged, this card was born. I really like how it turned out, but it is difficult to capture all the detail with a camera. The soft, muted colors of the vintage paper tend to look dull in a photo. When you see it in person, the angels sing. Really they do! (Wink)
- The scallop flowers (with perforated centers) from the Birds & Blooms Sizzlet pack make the perfect mini wreath - just punch out the center.
- I love using embossing powders, especially to create elegant holiday cards. I'll be embossing a lot this season!
- The Christmas Collage background stamp is incredibly versatile. Each "section" of the stamp can be used on its own as a focal image or you can use the entire image (or most of it) as a background or focal point for a variety of projects. The possibilities are endless.
