Fast & Fabulous Friday: Thanks For Caring

Today's fast and fabulous card is for showing a loved one, who is going through a difficult time, just how much you care. The new Thanks for Caring stamp set by Stampin' Up! features graceful images and greetings perfect for all kinds of caring messages.

I love the simplicity of this elegant card. Sometimes less really is more. And there are certain times when understated elegance is called for. Even with fine attention to detail, this card comes together quickly and uses minimal supplies as well.

The Whisper White card base is prepared by a quick run through the Big Shot inside the new Framed Tulips embossing folder. This new addition to our line of textured impressions embossing folders is designed to emboss a frame around just the outer edges of the card. As with all the embossing folders, they are perfectly sized for a standard card front.

The focal image and greeting were stamped on scraps of Whisper White card stock by using the marker to stamp technique. Using markers to color directly on the rubber stamp allows portions of the image to really pop and grab attention. The orchid image was cut using a circle punch, while the greeting was hand cut closely around the letters.

The greeting was adhered to the circle, and then both were attached to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.  Tip: Tie and position the ribbon in place. Secure the ribbon with a piece of regular tape (on the backside). Add the focal image over the ribbon, then add the entire piece to the prepared card front.

I hope you enjoyed todays fast and fabulous card. If you have any questions about a technique used on this card, please contact me and I will be happy to assist you.

Happy Friday!
