Happy February! Wow ... January sure did fly by, didn't it?
I pulled out the Love You Much stamp set a few weeks ago and finally got around to creating this card. I knew I wanted to use this image with one of the cute flower brads. I really like this soft color combination of Crumb Cake (Kraft) and Pretty In Pink with a touch of Pear Pizzazz.
I used the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder on the card base to create a little background texture and interest. Did you know you can emboss an entire card front edge-to-edge? Yep! Each of the exclusive embossing folders by Stampin' Up! are designed to fit a standard card front. Just close the folder around your card front and give it a zip through the Big Shot. Ta-Da!
I created my own "patterned paper" using the flower image from Razzle Dazzle and stamping randomly onto Crumb Cake card stock. The focal image was stamped using Crumb Cake ink, then filled in using a Blender Pen and a Pretty In Pink ink pad. (My Pretty In Pink marker is MIA!).
For sweet detailing on this card, I added Pretty In Pink scallop trim peeking out, along with Pretty In Pink satin ribbon. And, of course, the cute flower brad! After using a lot of RED's lately for Valentine's, it was nice to work with these colors. And this can be a cute Valentine ... or NOT. Inside the card, the sentiment could celebrate a birthday, anniversary, or "just because".
Thanks for stopping by today!
