Isn't this card stunning? We made it on Sunday at our team shoebox swap and it was designed by Kathie Linder. (Hi, Kathie!) This card will be suitable for just about any occasion - birthday, thinking of you, sympathy, a note of encouragement, thank you. No matter the occasion, I know the recipient is going to appreciate the simple lines and classic elegance of this creation.
The background piece was created with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder - a perfect accent to the flourish image. TIP: Punch decorative borders FIRST, then emboss using the folder.
The butterfly image was created by inking the stamp with Marina Mist ink, then adding a touch of Basic Gray ink with a sponge dauber to the lower wing edges. TIP: If you plan to cut out an image and pop it up with dimensionals, stamp the image onto the card stock where you plan to place the image. Then stamp the image again on a scrap to cut out. Place the cut out image directly on the original stamped image. This will create a natural "shadow" under the cut out and adds depth. It's an easy little trick and a great way to add professional flair to your projects.
