I'm paying tribute to Stampin' Up! for putting on such a great convention again this year. They always say they want each convention to be the "best one yet" and somehow it always is. I don't know how they do it, but it sure was great! There were a lot of terrific classes again this year, most of which are designed to assist us, as Stampin' Up! Demonstrators, to better meet the needs of our customers.
Of course there was a ton of creativity going on too! Lots and lots of swapping, our Make & Take session (always a convention favorite) and fabulous demonstrations during the general sessions and many of the classes as well. This year was my lucky year too ... I was chosen to be a Make & Take "helper" which is super fun and Stampin' Up! has plenty of appreciation for their helpers! In addition to the random surprise gifts for all convention attendees, I managed to come up a winner during prize patrol! WOO HOO!!! You know what they say: FREE STAMPS stamp better than any other stamps! Hee!!
All that fun and excitement made up for the tiny disappointment of not winning the "garden hat contest" at the Garden Party (this year's kick-off party). There were truly some AMAZING creations! We DID, however, get stalked like celebrities! We couldn't walk ten feet without yet another photo request. Hilarious! Stampin' Up! also put our photo on their Facebook page and on the Demo website.
Sound like fun? It is and YOU can be a part of it too. Now is a great time to join the Stampin' Up! family. Our awesome new Idea Book & Catalog was just released and the Holiday Mini Catalog is right around the corner. Both are packed with fresh ideas and fun new products. Join in July (better hurry!) and take advantage of the $99 Starter Kit plus the free Christmas Keepsake Box craft kit. Contact me if you are interested in learning more about becoming a Stampin' Up! demonstrator.
A quick note about today's card. Did you notice the embossed oval frame around the main image? That's one of our new embossing folders for the Big Shot - and I love it! It's called Designer Frames and you actually get two small embossing folders. I can't wait to play with these again. And again. And ...
I couldn't resist adding those darling Flower Brads. Aren't they the cutest? Since they come in all four of our main color collections, there's no need to worry - coordination is in the bag ... er, little container. Hee!
Have a terrific weekend!
