Hoot! Whoo Is Ready For Trick-Or-Treat?

Hand Stamped Happy Halloween Greeting Card

At our monthly Stampin' Up! team meeting last Sunday, we had a great time with another fun "shoebox swap" where each person designs a card and brings supplies for everyone to make their card. As always, the cards were awesome and I wanted to share a few of them with all of YOU!

Today we have a darling halloween card designed by Kathie Linder. It makes good use of all those punches we have to create a spook-tacular scene.

Dry Embossing Technique - with Stampin' Up! Embossing Folders

The Lucky Limeade card base gets a bit of interest thanks to the Stripes Embossing Folder. Ditto for the Concord Crush panel with the fun Spider Web Embossing Folder. The tiny strip of Pumpkin Pie card stock peeking out along the edge is created with the Pinking Hearts Border Punch.

The star of the show is our trick-or-treat owl from the Warmest of Wishes stamp set featured in the Holiday Mini Catalog (one of the specially-priced exclusive Hostess sets). He was stamped on Whisper White and the mask and beak were colored using Stampin' Write Markers. Basic Rhinestones give our guy sparkly eyes peeking from behind his mask. He is sized perfectly (natch) for the Owl Builder Punch, so cropping this little guy is a breeze. His little treat bag was stamped on Pumpkin Pie card stock and snipped out for a pop of color.

Creative Ideas for Stampin' Up! Decorative Punches

Our trick-or-treater needs a place to rest up, so he's perched on a branch created from the Bird Builder Punch. Behind him is a "full moon" of Daffodil Delight cropped with the 2-1/2" Circle Punch, then sponged with Pumpkin Pie around the edges.

Rubber Stamping Greeting Card Sentiments

For our sentiment, the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set provides "happy halloween" sized perfectly for the Word Window Punch and the Modern Label Punch provides the perfect backdrop.

Sooo ... whoo's got their Halloween mask ready? Leave me a comment and let me know if you've already got your costume (or the kids' costumes) and are ready for some spooky fun.
