Hi, Everyone! Today's card is a sweet love card created for the Operation Write Home (OWH) Midweek Throwdown Challenge to create Anniversary Cards. This was the perfect excuse to put aside all the fall/winter projects and focus on a little love.
I used the new Affection Collection Stamp Set featured in the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog. The ornate frame surrounding the sentiment is heat embossed with Pewter embossing powder. (Love this!) Pewter is a bit like a tarnished silver color, although this embossing powder reminds me more of sterling silver - it is so pretty.
The card base features die-cut accents (edgelits) dry embossed with the Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder peeking out from a panel of Pink Pirouette card stock. Just beneath the focal panel, I gathered a length of Cherry Cobbler Scalloped Tulle Ribbon.
These will make beautiful Anniversary cards, Valentine cards, or the perfect anytime card to say I love you ... always. Hopefully, a few of our soldiers will agree.
