If you get the reference in the title of this post, you'll probably spend some time today with a certain holiday tune playing in your head. Your welcome. And for those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about, you'll need to borrow your Mom's collection of classic Christmas music. ;)
This soft, muted Christmas card was created using one of my favorite non-traditional holiday color combinations: Bashful Blue and Whisper White. It reminds me of fresh fallen snow against a clear blue sky.
The focal point was created using the tree image from the Stampin' Up! Christmas Lodge stamp set. I embossed it using Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder to give the entire tree sparkle and then added lots of Rhinestone Basic Jewels for even more sparkle and shine.
Behind the main panel, I embossed Whisper White card stock using one of the Delicate Designs Embossing Folders and the Big Shot. I love how this little embossing folder has such a wide range of uses.
The sentiment was simply stamped in Bashful Blue on a Whisper White strip with the ends flagged and then popped up on the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.
So what about you ... any favorite non-traditional holiday color combos you love to use? Let me know in the comments - I love finding new combinations to try.
