Now that the turkey is out of the way and the big mad Friday shopping dash is over, I hope you'll turn your attention to another little bit of business: Small Business Saturday. Your local small businesses need your support (all year long) to stay in business.
Please consider stepping outside the (big) box and the mall chain stores to support the small business owners in your community. These local entrepreneurs help our communities to thrive and many times offer unique merchandise and stellar customer service. You might even enjoy shopping for picky Aunt Matilda this year!
And while you're at it, Small Business Saturday isn't just about holiday gift shopping. You'll find businesses ready to help you deck the halls, stock up for the party, help polish your look, and fill you with good eats.
One last thing: Independent Consultants and Direct Sellers (like me) are small business owners too. And we need (and appreciate!!) your support as well. There are endless choices these days when it comes to independent sellers - everything from candles to purses, fashions to tote bags, wall art to jewelry, cookware to makeup, and so much more.
Unlike someone with a few links to Amazon, these folks are experienced professionals in their chosen field. They are passionate about their products. And they will go out of their way to share that knowledge and that passion with YOU.
Whether it's a brick-and-morter retail store, restaurant, or online-only small business, I hope you'll support Small Business Saturday. Happy Shopping!
