If you aren't a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, you might be wondering: what IS this Leadership thing all about?
The Stampin' Up! Leadership Conference is held annually in the U.S. with attendees sharing ideas, learning new things, stamping and swaps.
Demonstrators at the level of senior supervisor and above are invited to attend this two day event designed specifically for those with growing downlines (team members).
The classes and sessions focus on leadership skills and ways to continue growing your stamping business. There are also plenty of stamping presentations with clever project ideas that elicit oodles of oohs and aahs.
During Leadership 2013 I was able to attend several great classes. My first class, led by Andrea Withers, was titled "Ramping Up Your Social Media Presence". Blogs, Facebook, and You Tube were covered by fellow demonstrators explaining core strategies they employ when using social media to stay in touch with current customers while attracting new customers and attention to their business. The pointers given were all very smart, actionable strategies plus do's and don'ts.
Next, I headed to "Creating Your Blueprint for Success" led by Brandi Barnard (Stampin' Up!) along with demonstrator Meg Daves. Meg walked the class through a simple worksheet detailing goals, business practices, and activities with a strong focus on determining profitable events to reach specific goals. I noticed a lot of aha moments happening during this class! ;)
"Meet New People, Find New Faces" was led by Shannon West (love her!) and featured 10 proven ways to generate new leads, build your customer base and increase profitability. Everyone in direct sales needs to continually meet new people; however, as someone who moved recently, this class was very helpful to me personally. My top three faves? Using social media, fundraisers, and getting out into the community.
Sound interesting? It is and I'd love to share all the details with you. Sale-a-bration is a great time to join Stampin' Up! and start your own stamping business. You can stuff your Starter Kit with 25% more and pick my brain on any or all of the topics above (plus other topics if you like). Contact me today for more information.
My sweet friend (and upline) Debbie made little gifts for those of us attending Leadership this year. Isn't this little box the cutest?
She used Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper and Ribbon (Sale-a-Bration products) plus the Jewelry Tag Punch for the little friends tag.
The sparkly butterfly (Papillon Potpourri stamp set/Bitty Butterfly Punch) is resting on a little doily snippet (Delicate Details Lace Tape), layered on a polka dot embossed small scallop circle and a die-cut flower (Blossom Party Die) embossed with the Lacy Brocade embossing folder.
This bright flower cleverly uses the the Vine Street Embossing Folder (free Sale-a-bration product) for its stem and a petal from the Blossom Petals Builder Punch for a leaf! The main flower is die-cut using the Fun Flowers Bigz Die, with A Fitting Occasion stamp set.
Surprise ... it holds a pack of gum! How cute.
And finally, my friend Doreen made this fabulous treat holder created using the Labels Collection Framelits embossed with the Fancy Fan embossing folder. (Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper.)
Yummm ... Chocolate!
The perfect way to end the day.
