Stamping Party - Part II ... Clean and Simple Cards

Part Two ... more crafty results from our fun stamping sleepover. Part one is here, in case you missed it.

ETA: My apologies if you looked for this post yesterday as promised. Someone may or may not have forgotten a step in the scheduling process. Duh!

Stampin' Up! Vintage Verses Stamp Set Card Idea

A clean and simple design with lovely results. This card is very easy to make; great for beginning stampers and a pretty way to use up those leftover scraps of patterned paper. With a change of sentiment, this card is perfect for any occasion including masculine cards. It's also totally mail-able and would make a great candidate for sending to Operation Write Home.

One look at this card shouts SPRING! (And I know some of you can't wait.) The Framed Tulips Embossing Folder creates the ideal background for this card and gets highlighted with a light sponging of ink.

Stampin' Up! Secret Garden Stamp Set + Framelits Bundle

We put the Secret Garden Bundle to work (stamp set + coordinating framelit dies) to create the flowers for this card. Technique: Images were stamped on Whisper White card stock using VersaMark and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder. Then, we water-colored the images using a paintbrush dipped in diluted ink from ink pad refill bottles. (Use a plastic plate or paint palette tray to mix ink and water to dilute.) Once they dried, the flowers were perfectly cut using the framelit dies.

Stampin' Up! Sassy Salutations Birthday Card

Fun, Fun! Fun to make. Fun to receive. A cleverly placed strip of the colorful vine pattern in the Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper collection anchors the added embellishments. The small embossed row of "stitching" is created with the Needlepoint Border Embossing Folders and breaks up the "white space" while giving the sassy sentiment a place to "hang out".

Stampin' Up! Punches Punch Art

The clever "vase" is created from the long petal within the Blossom Petals Builder Punch by snipping off the ends of the petal. Stems are hand-drawn using the fine tip of a Stampin' Write Marker before popping on "flowers" created using the 1/2" Circle Punch, the scallop shape from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack and small Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

I've got one more card from this swap to show you - if you like sweet and precious cards, you won't want to miss it.
