This quick and easy Father's Day card was inspired by a Stampin' Up! bow tie card I saw a while back. My version uses our Basic Black Chevron ribbon for the bow tie.
Normally, creating this type of bow requires one large loop with a smaller loop around the center. For this bow, however, I wanted the Chevron pattern pointing in opposite directions at each end, so I created two individual loops for the ends with a small loop for the center.
Clear as mud, right? ;)
The background piece is Gumball Green Core'dinations cardstock, embossed using the Houndstooth Embossing Folder and lightly sanded.
The Happy Father's Day greeting, from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set, is simply stamped on Whisper White cardstock and cropped using the Modern Label punch.
Including a little hardware for dear old Dad seems appropriate, so I added Mini Brads to the label.
