Go ahead. Eat the cake. A birthday without a sweet treat? That's pretty much just an ordinary day. Well, unless there are presents involved. And an adult beverage. But, still. EAT THE CAKE!
I knew when I saw this sentiment in the Yippee-Skippee stamp set (one of my favorite sets from the new Stampin' Up! catalog) that I would pair it with the cake image from the Sketched Birthday stamp set. So fun!
To keep this card very simple, I die-cut Epic Day This and That Designer Series Paper using the Window Frames Collection Framelits and sandwiched a layer of Pool Party cardstock in-between. Sandwiches? Cake? Someone may or may not have food on the brain.
The main image is simply stamped using Crumb Cake ink. Again with the food? The Sketched Birthday stamps can be inked with various Stampin' Write Markers or the images can be colored in or watercolored. However, they really do look like sketches, so feel free to stamp them simply and call it good. Great for busy stampers!
Time for a snack! Too bad I don't have any cake.
