Look what came in this month's cute red box from Paper Pumpkin! These adorable treat bags will hold a little goodie or small gift for your favorite ghosts and goblins. After Halloween is over, I'll bet the kids (or adults) will use the burlap bag to hold a favorite treasure.
If you haven't yet heard about Paper Pumpkin, it's a monthly craft project in a little box from Stampin' Up! It may be a set of greeting cards, a home decor project, or clever packaging for gift giving. It's a surprise each month, but it's always something fun and creative. Aaaaand ... it's affordable with no long term commitment.
These craft kits include everything you need to create the current month's project, minus scissors and adhesive (something most of us already have). It even includes ink and a small stamp set. First time subscribers receive a thin clear block in their first kit for use with the stamp set.
If you aren't a Paper Pumpkin subscriber yet (what are you waiting for?), but have a few crafting supplies, you could easily create your own version of these sweet treat bags. Mini Muslin Bags would work wonderfully, as will printed Chevron or Polka Dot Gift Bags. Add a little Halloween Designer Series Paper, a few mini clothespins, and any Halloween stamp set of your choice (like this, this one, or maybe this one).
ETA: Good News! Stampin' Up! has just added the Boo-tiful Bags Kit to the selection of past Paper Pumpkin kits available for purchase. You must be a current Paper Pumpkin subscriber to order past kits.
Get in on the fun! Subscribing to Paper Pumpkin is quick and easy. You can choose recurring monthly billing or purchase a pre-paid subscription for 3, 6, or 12 months (great for gift giving!). Subscribe now to Paper Pumpkin.
OH! And did I mention the extra Paper Pumpkin perk? Current members are able to purchase select kits (full kits and/or refill kits) from previous months. Once you subscribe, you'll be able to log in to the Paper Pumpkin website to see which past kits are available for purchase.
Another cool thing about Paper Pumpkin - there are usually extra pieces in the kit. You know, in case you make a mistake. And if not, then YAY for extras! This kit contained enough die-cut tags for the six burlap bags plus six extra tags.
Naturally, I created a quick and simple card and plunked one of those extra tags on it! I gave the Blackberry Bliss banner a bit of fun texture using the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder and the Big Shot. I love the contrast of the Blackberry Bliss against Smoky Slate cardstock!
